The database is an application running on the server machine in order to enable efficient access to the datas. The datas are usually accessed and manipulated through the SQL language. With Nectil you don't have to know this language, we have developped a XML language that runs on top of the database.

Nectil is theoretically usable with any database supporting the SQL language but has only been fully tested with the MySQL database.
